NATIONAL CORVETTE DAY

  • CENTER COURT PIZZA AND BREW 24345 Gosling Road #100 Spring, TX, 77389 United States (map)

THE CAR - On June 30, 1953, the first Corvette came off the assembly line in Flint, MI. That year, only 300 Corvettes were made and they were all white. Powered by advanced “Blue Flame,” the Corvette produced 160HP from an overhead-valve, six-cylinder engine. Equipped with the newest Powerglide automatic transmission, the car went on to be a sensation and America’s Only True Sports Car. In 2008, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution that June 30th would be known as “National Corvette Day.”

THE EVENT - To celebrate this great day in automotive history, we are bringing together all Houston Area Corvette Clubs for a Cruise-In event that will go down in local Corvette History.
